About The Position
As a Forklift Service/ Material Handling Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and supporting material handling equipment in the warehouse. You will perform preventative maintenance on equipment, must have strong electrical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months related experience and/or training
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently
- Team player who works productively with all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot customer equipment problems and confer with and get approval from customer before making repairs.
- Complete each repair job in a timely, efficient, and professional manner.
- Maintain your own parts inventory.
- Obtain parts from other sources.
- Complete and submit all required paperwork.
- Coordinate repairs and schedule service.
- Maintain maintenance records, work orders, repair histories.
- Manage your workload effectively.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, particularly those involving safety.
- Assist with battery maintenance, battery watering, connectors, cables repairs.
- Perform any other related duties, as assigned by their supervisor.
