About The Position

US Farathane is seeking an experienced forklift driver for our Georgetown, TX location. The primary responsibility is to ensure the proper and timely flow of all materials and product from arrival until stored as finished goods. This includes managing the flow of in-house materials, rework, scrap, machinery, equipment, and garbage, primarily by driving a hi-lo or using a hand jack. A forklift test will be conducted during the interview.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Forklift driving skills.
• Computer skills.
• Hi lo license required.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
• Ability to recognize numbers and not transpose digits.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time.
• Regularly required to stand and use hands to touch, handle, or feel.
• Frequently required to drive a forklift truck or operate a pallet jack.
• Frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to sit and talk or hear.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include ability to adjust focus, demonstrate depth perception and have good hand-eye coordination.
