The Forklift Driver I operates powered industrial trucks to load, unload, or transfer product to storage, production, and staging areas in the plant. This role coordinates and inputs data into the Company inventory system for accuracy.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year experience operating a forklift and/or completion of a forklift training program.
  • Knowledge of safe operations of a forklift.
  • Basic data entry, communication, writing and organization skills.
  • Basic computer skills such as data entry and using scan guns.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift certification per OSHA standards.
  • Knowledge of inventory practices and procedures.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Check, verify completeness, and process all Warehouse transfers to and from Production.
  • Load and unload goods based on layout instructions.
  • Move goods packed on pallets or in crates around the facility.
  • Stack goods in the correct storage bays following inventory control instructions.
  • Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records.
  • Execute assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner; maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Perform cycle counts, physical inventory, and baseline cycle count.
  • Check outbound staged orders and document/report errors.
  • Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
  • Perform daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck’s battery and lubricating equipment.
  • Remove machine attachments and waste material from machines.
  • Stack empty pallets and transport as needed.
