About The Position

As a Production Forklift Driver/Grinder at IPL, you will be responsible for moving and loading hazardous wastes, cleaning work areas and equipment, and maintaining a safe work atmosphere by following company standards and legal regulations. You will also be responsible for maintaining forklift equipment through troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and routine pre-inspections. Identifying and reporting faulty equipment, damages, and safety concerns is crucial. The role involves loading and unloading products from trailers, transporting products to and from warehouse and distribution centers, and delivering products to various units safely and timely. Additionally, you will keep your work area clean, organize and stage regrind material for processing, and prepare plastic for recycling.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
At least 1-3 years of driving the forklift in a manufacturing environment
Forklift certification
Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
Knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform the job successfully

Responsibilities

Moves and loads hazardous wastes under direction of supervisor.
Cleans work area and equipment regularly by removing empty pallets, wood and plastic.
Follows company standards and legal regulations to ensure safe and positive work atmosphere.
Maintains forklift equipment by troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, recommending repairs and performing routine pre inspections.
Identifies and reports faulty equipment, damages, and safety concerns to Supervisor immediately.
Loads and unload products from trailers using forklift trucks and other material handling equipment.
Transports products to and from warehouse and distribution centers.
Delivers products to various units in safely and timely manner.
Keeps own and adjacent work area clean.
Organizes and stages the regrind material for processing.
Prepares plastic for recycling.
