About The Position

JSW Steel USA is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Grinder to support our manufacturing operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to accurately read and use tape measures and other measuring tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs materials and stand for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum six (6) months of surface grinding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate grinding, lapping, honing, deburring, shearing, and cutting equipment according to specifications.
• Set up machines by computing indexing and adjusting controls for required dimensions.
• Lift and position workpieces manually or with hoists; securely fasten materials to machine tables.
• Mount and align tools in chucks, spindles, and other holding devices using hand tools.
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to ensure product quality and efficiency.
• Inspect finished products to ensure conformance with specifications.
• Maintain adequate inventory of machine parts and tooling.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs; escalate complex issues to engineering as needed.
• Thread and hand-feed materials through machine cutters or abraders.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
