Requirements

Post-secondary education with a diploma or degree in forestry
Registered with the FPBC as an RPF or RFT
A minimum of 5 years of multiphase timber development project management in British Columbia
Solid understanding of, and experience in, operational planning (cut block/road development processes)
A strong understanding of the forest legislation, regulation and policy impacting forest planning and management in British Columbia
Valid driver's license with a clean abstract
Enthusiastic and passionate about forestry and working outdoors in all weather conditions
Experience in managing crew logistics and providing supervision to the field crew

Nice To Haves

Experience with timber valuations and timber cruising
Experience using LiDAR for forest development planning
Experience with GIS software and its application in forest development planning
Experience with budget forecasting and writing proposals

Responsibilities

Implementing the Forsite Health and Safety Program
Assisting with scheduling, supervision, training, quality control
Leading a production field crew through various projects
Supporting the operations lead in the preparation of project level budgets and plans
Working closely with other Forsite staff to effectively deliver projects
