About The Position

The City of Moorhead is accepting applications for seasonal part-time and full-time temporary Forestry positions in the Public Works Department. These roles involve helping to keep the community clean while enjoying the outdoors. Responsibilities include residential brush pick-up and chipping, planting and watering trees, tree removal, and tree pruning. Employees may also be expected to work in other maintenance areas as directed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Possess a valid driver’s license
• Able to operate pickup, one-tons, and a variety of other equipment
• Ability to operate pickups, large trucks, trailers and a variety of other equipment

Responsibilities

• Residential brush pick-up and chipping
• Planting and watering trees
• Tree removal
• Tree pruning
• Operate pickup, one-tons, large trucks, and trailers
• Perform various forestry duties specifically brush chipping operations for the curbside brush pickup service
• Assist forestry staff and other divisions with maintenance tasks when directed
