Requirements

• Four years of semi-skilled maintenance or construction experience which includes one year in the operation of small and medium size construction or agricultural equipment; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Possession of an active motor vehicle license.
• Possession of a Class A Commercial Driver's license.
• Meet the PA residency requirement.
• Able to perform essential job functions.
• Conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Lead employees who construct, repair, and maintain forest roads, trails, and facilities
• Organize schedules, assign tasks, and review project needs for equipment and supplies
• Discuss safety procedures, demonstrate proper methods, and evaluate performance
• Prepare reports, review logs, and make recommendations to district management
• Support wildfire suppression efforts and protect natural features within the district
• Approve leave, review grievances, and complete required records and documentation
