Forensic Toxicology Laboratory Processing Technician I
About The Position
The Forensic Toxicology Laboratory Processing Technician I performs routine daily sample processing for the Forensic Toxicology Processing Department. The role is accountable for receiving specimens, sorting them, entering data, and completing processing work. The position is based in Lenexa, Kansas, and is scheduled Tuesday through Saturday from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM. The pay range starts at $17.20 per hour. Salary offers depend on relevant skills, training, experience, education, applicable certifications, and market and organizational factors. Successful candidates may be eligible for annual performance bonus compensation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods.

Responsibilities
- Understand the QTN Lab Information System.
- Sort specimens by source, such as hair, oral fluid, and urine, and by work list.
- Complete Maxilog data entry.
- Process urine specimens for regulated and non-regulated testing independently.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures and strict forensic practices.
- Scan or image all custody and control forms.
- Discard negative specimens.
- Perform Flexilog on routine urine specimens at 70 CCFs per hour.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
