About The Position

The Forensic Officer II works in the Security department at the Oklahoma Forensic Center in Vinita, Oklahoma. OFC is a secure inpatient forensic facility operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and provides jail competency services for Oklahoma. It has 268 beds for consumers found incompetent for adjudication or adjudicated not guilty by reason of insanity. The position supports facility coverage; work hours and location may vary with business needs, and employees may be required to work weekends and overtime.

Requirements

Completion of a basic security and/or firefighter’s course.
Two years of experience in security or fire prevention and protection work.
Must pass an OSBI background check.
Must be willing and able to fulfill job-related travel and have a valid driver’s license.
Upon a conditional offer, must pass a physical examination and be able to occasionally lift or carry 60 pounds and push or pull with a maximum force of 30 pounds.
For this safety-sensitive position, must submit to pre-employment and pre-placement urinalysis after a conditional offer; appointment is contingent on a negative drug test result.
