About The Position

The Forensic Officer II works in the Security department at the Oklahoma Forensic Center in Vinita, Oklahoma. The center is a secure, 24-hour, 365-day inpatient forensic facility providing jail competency services for Oklahoma. It has 268 beds for consumers found incompetent for adjudication or adjudicated not guilty by reason of insanity. The agency requires coverage 24 hours a day, seven days a week; work hours and location may vary depending on business necessity.

Requirements

Complete a basic security and/or firefighter’s course.
Have two years of experience in security or fire prevention and protection work.
Pass an OSBI background check.
Be willing and able to complete job-related travel and hold a valid driver’s license.
Meet the physical examination requirements, including occasionally lifting or carrying 60 pounds and pushing and pulling a maximum force of 30 pounds.
For this safety-sensitive position, submit to pre-employment and pre-placement urinalysis drug testing and receive a negative result.
