About The Position

As a Foreman on Portland Glass's commercial team, you oversee safe, efficient installation of commercial glass systems and replacements in accordance with architectural specifications. You coordinate workflow and materials, verify deliveries, support team performance through coaching and quality expectations, and travel between nearby locations to help ensure job-site efficiency.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience in the glass industry, specifically with architectural glazing systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
High level of accountability.
Ability to effectively lead others.
Ability to pass a background check and drug test, per applicable state laws.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

Ensure employees follow Portland Glass safety standards; conduct regular safety meetings and inspect personal protective equipment (PPE).
Oversee use of correct procedures for safe installation that meets architectural specifications for commercial glass systems and replacements.
Work with the Operations Manager to set work quality and quantity expectations, coach team members, recognize success, and implement corrective measures as needed.
Check site deliveries to confirm items were fabricated properly, are complete, and are not damaged.
Schedule workflow to meet project requirements and manage materials waiting to be installed onsite.
Travel between nearby locations to ensure job-site efficiency.
