About The Position

DynaTen Corporation, a Comfort Systems USA company, provides commercial construction and service solutions throughout the greater North Texas market, specializing in HVAC, plumbing, and building automation controls. The Foreman - Piping leads one or more crews installing commercial mechanical piping systems, including chilled water, heating water, condenser water, refrigerant, condensate, and steam. The role turns project requirements into field work plans, develops field employees, and coordinates work with project and trade partners. The position reports to the General Foreman or Superintendent. Work takes place primarily on active commercial construction sites. The role involves regular exposure to weather, noise, dust, moving equipment, stairs, ladders, lifts, and uneven surfaces. Extensive walking and standing, use of required PPE, handling field technology and documents, and occasional lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds are required. Early starts, schedule changes, and travel among jobsites may be required.

Requirements

At least 5 years of commercial mechanical construction experience in piping work, including progressively responsible field leadership.
Demonstrated ability to plan labor and material, read project schedules, and lead safe, productive installation work.
Strong working knowledge of applicable drawings, specifications, codes, testing requirements, and quality standards.
Ability to use mobile devices and standard construction software for drawings, reporting, time, and documentation.
Strong communication, coaching, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.

Nice To Haves

Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or technical training program.
OSHA 30-hour Construction credential and current competent-person or equipment certifications relevant to assigned work.
Experience on large healthcare, data center, laboratory, manufacturing, or other complex commercial projects.
Experience with lean planning, prefabrication, BIM-enabled work packages, and production tracking.

Responsibilities

Lead one or more crews installing commercial mechanical piping systems and set clear expectations for safety, quality, productivity, and conduct.
Build and communicate daily work plans using drawings, schedules, coordination information, labor budgets, material status, and jobsite constraints.
Plan manpower, tools, equipment, access, prefabrication, deliveries, and work areas to support reliable production.
Review project documents, identify constructability issues and scope gaps, and elevate requests for information before they affect the work.
Coordinate sequencing and access with project management, general contractors, other trades, vendors, inspectors, and commissioning teams.
Verify installations against drawings, specifications, codes, approved submittals, and quality checklists, and drive timely correction of deficiencies.
Track installed quantities, labor performance, schedule status, material needs, and constraints; provide accurate daily or weekly reporting.
Coach employees, assign work, document performance, recognize strong results, and address conduct or performance concerns with management.
Lead pre-task planning, job hazard analysis, toolbox talks, housekeeping, and incident prevention activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
