About The Position

PCI is seeking an experienced Joinery Foreman for its West Coast Marine operations based in San Francisco, CA. This individual will be responsible for on-site coordination with customers and crew to safely and productively install joinery scopes. The role involves actively recruiting and training field team members, with overall responsibility for crew safety, performance, productivity, and work quality for assigned projects. The Foreman will collaborate with the superintendent and project manager to coordinate project startup, execution, and close-out, using look-ahead schedules, manpower forecasts, and project specifications for optimal scheduling of material, manpower, and crew mix. The position requires systematically directing and assigning crew field activities to maximize productivity while maintaining PCG standards of quality, performance, and workplace safety. Creating and maintaining positive relationships with all trades, vendors, co-workers, and customers is essential for effectiveness and efficiency. The Foreman will act as the on-site representative of the branch and corporation, conveying a professional and positive attitude, and utilizing available technology to perform job tasks efficiently. The position is safety-sensitive and requires the ability to perform all job duties in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. On-the-job training is offered.

Requirements

Minimum of five years of shipbuilding and joinery work experience.
Strong understanding of joinery systems on Commercial, MSC and US Navy vessels.
Shipbuilding experience in New Construction and/or Repair/ Modernization.
At least 3-5 years of experience in a Foreman/Supervisor role
Must be willing to travel and/or relocate for projects.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Proficient in reading shop drawings
Managed a crew size of 20+ craftsmen.
Proficient in quality control
Physically able to perform assigned tasks
Local to San Francisco, CA.
