About The Position

Tacheny Exteriors, a fourth-generation, family-owned home remodeling company, is seeking a Foreman Carpenter to lead a team in executing high-quality exterior remodeling projects, including installations and repairs. This is a hands-on, full-time position with opportunities for training, advancement, and year-round employment. The company specializes in roofing, siding, gutters, windows & doors, soffit & fascia, and decks, and is expanding its W2 crew. They value craftsmanship, professionalism, teamwork, and long-term success.

Requirements

  • 6-10+ years of experience in construction or exterior remodeling.
  • Strong knowledge of siding and window installation.
  • Average knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
  • MN Code Knowledge.
  • Manufacturer Specs.
  • Prolonged periods standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Must be able to safely work with sharp tools or power equipment.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.
  • Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute siding and window projects by reviewing work orders, project photos, and job notes.
  • Manage materials by reviewing material lists, ordering supplies, and maintaining stock.
  • Supervise crew by instructing and guiding installers, assisting with installations, and ensuring OSHA safety rules are followed.
  • Ensure quality by inspecting work to meet standards, deadlines, and code requirements.
  • Manage projects by tracking budgets, scheduling tasks, and ensuring company policies are followed.
  • Communicate with customers and other team members.
  • Document work by maintaining work records and preparing reports.
  • Assist in building the team and training new W-2 installers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
