About The Position

The House of the Good Shepherd is hiring a Foreign Language Teacher (Spanish or French) at Tilton School in Utica, New York. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree.
Valid New York State teaching certificate, or an equivalent teaching certificate obtained through a NYS-approved pathway leading to a master’s degree in education and permanent certification.
Meet all NYSED and agency training requirements.
Ability to build rapport with students who have experienced adversity.
Ability to create engaging, age-appropriate lessons supporting academic and emotional growth.
Organization and responsiveness to deadlines and documentation requirements.
Comfort working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Openness to learning and reflective practice.

Nice To Haves

Special Education certification is strongly preferred.
Prior experience teaching students with IEPs or emotional or behavioral challenges.
