About The Position

BC Systems is seeking a Forecaster to monitor assigned fields, maintain accurate records, calculate yields, and project optimal harvest timing. This role requires close collaboration with growers regarding watering and spray schedules, and with the Harvest Scheduler to determine equipment setup locations. The Forecaster will also communicate known field defects to the Quality Assurance group.

Requirements

• Ability to navigate uneven surfaces
• Bilingual
• Computer literate
• Ability to work outdoors through all seasons and weather types including wind and rain
• Ability to work indoors under refrigerated conditions to 32F
• Ability to work in wet, dusty, and noisy conditions
• Ability to work day, swing, or night shifts within a 7-day workweek schedule
• Full time positions are expected to travel throughout the year with the company's operations in California and Arizona
• English literacy required
• Possess a valid driver's license

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook
• Knowledge of all aspects of harvesting fresh vegetables
