About The Position

York International Corporation seeks a Forecast Analyst at its facility located at 5757 N Green Bay Ave, Milwaukee, MI 53209. The role reports to the Executive Director, Global Parts Planning, to facilitate the cost-effective flow of materials and products from suppliers to customers through the manufacturing and distribution network in accordance with company policies. This position involves all forecasting activities associated with customers and products in the country. The analyst will create and maintain sales and purchases forecast models, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from local sales organizations. This role serves as the main link between Parts Planning and the Sales and Commercial teams. The analyst will develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function. Responsibilities include reviewing historical sales trends, researching demand drivers, preparing forecast data, developing statistical forecast models, and evaluating forecast results. The role requires coordinating cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions. The analyst will interact with sales, marketing, and local demand planners to understand demand forecast drivers and use and maintain the Demand Planning software as the primary forecasting system tool. Collaboration with the Inventory Optimization Analyst and Supply Planning organization is key for developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs, as well as driving procurement optimization and efficiencies through the business in line with Global and regional initiatives. Close coordination and communication of customer action plans with supply planning are essential. The analyst will develop dashboards and KPIs to report on Forecast performance and facilitate S&OP demand review meetings with cross-functional teams, driving Forecast value add. Telecommuting: Hybrid, 2 days telecommuting allowed per week.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Data Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Plus 4 years of experience as a Demand Planner, Supply Chain Analyst, or related occupation for Aftermarket Service Parts within Industrial or Manufacturing segment.
  • Employment experience with Forecasting parts using planning software.
  • Employment experience with Running analytical scenario mapping.
  • Employment experience with Utilizing statistical methods to forecast customer demand.
  • Employment experience with S&OP process.
  • Employment experience with MRP, Replenishment planning.
  • Employment experience with Utilizing analytical tools such as mini-tab, R.
