About The Position

U.S. Bank’s Corporate Treasury department is hiring. We’re looking for a skilled Financial Analyst to join the Asset Liability Management (ALM) Forecast Team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for providing senior management with accurate, timely and comprehensive forecasts of the balance sheet and net interest income (NII). ALM is also responsible for managing the asset and liability positions of the bank, primarily through the measurement and monitoring of interest rate risk, to help inform and develop balance sheet strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically three or more years of related experience
  • Working knowledge of financial analysis techniques and general accounting procedures
  • Well-developed mathematical and analytical skills
  • Thorough knowledge in financial analysis, forecasting, and planning
  • Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze data

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred
  • Strong technical skills related to data mining and visualization tools

Responsibilities

  • Own and coordinate the bank’s funding and liability forecast, including Long‑Term Debt, Short‑Term borrowings, and other wholesale funding instruments, incorporating macroeconomic drivers, historical behavior, funding strategy, and balance sheet objectives
  • Partner closely with Chief Investment Office, ALM, and business finance teams to ensure consistency, transparency, and alignment of funding assumptions and forecast outcomes across the firm
  • Leverage funding and liability forecasts to support critical use cases such as interest rate risk management, liquidity risk management, capital planning, stress testing, and funds transfer pricing
  • Monitor regulatory, market, and macroeconomic developments to assess impacts on funding strategy, wholesale borrowing capacity, pricing, and structural balance sheet decisions
  • Inform and support balance sheet and funding strategies that optimize financial results while operating within the company’s risk appetite and regulatory constraints
