About The Position

The Ford Service Technician diagnoses and repairs complex automotive systems to manufacturer and customer specifications. The Uftring Auto Group says it provides team members with resources and opportunities to gain experience and advance. The role follows a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and every third Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Expected annual salary is $60,000 to $70,000, depending on experience.

Requirements

• Experience as a line technician with a major manufacturer.
• General mechanical skills and knowledge of automobile repair and maintenance.
• Good judgment and the ability to operate power and hand tools.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

• ASE certifications are preferred.
• Diesel experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Determine and perform services requested on repair orders and document the work.
• Operate and test equipment, hoists, and hand tools.
• Road-test vehicles for quality checks.
