About The Position

Prep Network is seeking a team player to organize and operate youth basketball tournaments and showcases nationwide. As a Showcase Director, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of events, serving as the face of our events team and upholding our standard of first-class tournaments and showcases. You will leverage the tools, training, and resources provided to create an elite experience for players and teams.

Requirements

• Current or past basketball coach with a strong passion for the game.
• Strong ability to multitask and prioritize competing priorities.
• Experience in running events or camps with 50-300 participants and a team of coaches.
• Proven ability to make decisions under pressure and solve problems on the fly.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Experience working with and managing groups of people of 10 or more.
• Proficient in working in Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out all event set-up, check in, and run of show.
• Managing all staff.
• Working closely with the event coaching staff to ensure the best experience for all in attendance.
• Collaborating with the event team at headquarters, organizing all details and checklists for event preparation.
• Communicating with all event staff including facility contacts, check-in workers, coaches and officials assignors.
• Thinking on your feet and adjusting to situations both in and out of your control.
• Speaking in front of a group of 50-300 players/parents and delivering a motivational message.
