This position starts August 17, 2026. The primary responsibility is to instruct students in the fundamental skills and knowledge of football, fostering an environment for successful individual development through monitoring, evaluating, and reinforcing. The coach will be responsible for developing drill and practice activities, managing equipment inventory and maintenance, and enforcing safety and health regulations. A key aspect of the role involves developing a supervision plan to ensure student safety in various settings, including locker rooms, trips, practices, and games. The coach must maintain confidentiality, present a professional appearance, and be an effective communicator with players, parents, supervisors, peers, and spectators. They must be able to follow directions, model/demonstrate activities, observe and diagnose player/team needs, and apply developmental stages of the game to player abilities. Adaptability to innovations and changes, support for district philosophies, and potential overnight supervision of students on out-of-town activities are also expected.
