About The Position

The Assistant Football Coach will provide instruction to athletes regarding specific football techniques, assist with recruitment initiatives, monitor and promote academic progress of student athletes, and support the football program's public relations and fundraising efforts. This role also involves coordinating practices, meetings, summer camps, and other activities necessary for a successful football program, while establishing and enforcing departmental policies and collaborating on game plans and developmental programs.

Requirements

  • Requires a relevant Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Requires a minimum of 1 year experience coaching or playing football at the Collegiate level and/or as a Head Coach at the High School level.
  • Strong communication and motivational skills required.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of NCAA rules, including eligibility and recruiting rules and regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction to athletes regarding specific football techniques for the purpose of preparing and developing the players in assigned area.
  • Assist with the recruitment initiatives of the department by encouraging talented student athletes to enroll in the University's football program.
  • Monitor and promotes the academic progress of student athletes.
  • Assist with the football program's public relations and fundraising initiatives.
  • Coordinate numerous practices, meetings, summer camps, summer jobs and other special activities necessary for executing a successful football program.
  • Established and enforces departmental policies while collaborating with coaches and staff to implement new game plans and developmental programs.
