About The Position

The Foodservice Marketing Intern will gain real-world experience as a Brand Management Marketing intern in our Foodservice Marketing division, working with a variety of our well-known brands. The Foodservice Group is responsible for the sales and marketing of all products to both commercial and non-commercial foodservice operations. The primary customer is the foodservice distributor, who buys our products and re-distributes them to foodservice operators such as restaurants, hotels, schools, hospitals, etc. The intern will spend much of their time supporting sales teams, developing usage ideas, and merchandising ideas for operators, and helping educate distributor personnel on why they should be selling Hormel products.

Requirements

  • Must graduate in August 2027, December 2027, May 2028 and major in Food Marketing, Marketing, Professional Selling, Agribusiness, Business Administration, Hospitality or Hotel/Restaurant Management or relevant degree program with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA preferred
  • Possesses strong analytical and communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and persuasive skills are necessary for success in this position
  • Possesses a strong work ethic and an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Interest in sales and sales roles is preferred
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer
  • Applicants must not now, or at any time in the future, require employer sponsorship for a work visa
  • Must be comfortable with the preparation and consumption of a variety of Hormel Foods Products which may include but not limited to pork, beef, chicken, turkey and nuts

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Operator and Channel Research
  • Support Sales Enablement Tools
  • Assist in B2B Marketing Campaigns
  • Collaborate on Product Launches and Demos
