About The Position

The Food Transporter/Delivery Driver delivers food, supplies, and other products to units and service areas using a vehicle. The role includes receiving and checking production orders and requisitioned supplies, safely loading and unloading deliveries, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, and caring for the assigned vehicle. The driver also provides attentive customer service, works with coworkers to meet service standards, and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must have a valid state driver's license.
• Must have a valid food handler's permit where required.
• Operate company vehicles safely and in accordance with traffic laws and conditions.

Nice To Haves

• Previous driving experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pick up requisitioned supplies from the staging clerk.
• Receive completed production orders from the staging clerk and inventory items to ensure orders are complete.
• Load orders onto the truck safely and orderly, with assistance from staging clerks.
• Unload requisitioned materials at the delivery site.
• Follow sanitation and safety guidelines when handling food and equipment.
• Keep hot and cold food items compliant with company standards and sanitation and safety requirements.
• Collect empty containers and rejected or unsold merchandise.
• Maintain the general cleanliness of the assigned vehicle.
• Perform routine maintenance on the truck.
• Interact with coworkers to ensure company service standards.
• Provide quality customer service with one-on-one attention to detail.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
