About The Position

The Food Transporter/Delivery Driver delivers food, supplies, and other products to units and service areas using a vehicle. The role includes collecting and checking orders, loading and unloading deliveries, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, and keeping the assigned vehicle clean and maintained. The driver works with coworkers and provides attentive customer service. The position is full time, Monday through Friday, from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm, at Kamehameha Schools, Kapalama in Honolulu, Hawaii. The fixed pay rate is $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Valid state driver's license.
• Valid food handler's permit where required.
• Operate company vehicles safely in accordance with traffic laws and conditions.
• The position may require lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience driving a box truck is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pick up requisitioned supplies and completed production orders from the staging clerk.
• Inventory items to ensure production orders are complete.
• Load orders onto the truck safely and orderly, with assistance from staging clerks.
• Unload requisitioned materials at delivery sites.
• Follow sanitation and safety guidelines when handling food and equipment.
• Ensure hot and cold food items comply with company standards and sanitation and safety requirements.
• Collect empty containers and rejected or unsold merchandise.
• Maintain the general cleanliness of the assigned vehicle.
• Perform routine maintenance on the truck.
• Interact with coworkers to meet company service standards.
• Provide quality customer service through attentive one-on-one interaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
