Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent
Training in cost control, food management, sanitation, and diet therapy
Two (2) years of food service work experience.

Responsibilities

Responsible to see that all work assignments are carried out properly, safely and completely within the allotted time schedule.
Ensures that the quality and quantity of all food related services meet standards.
Performs food service duties (cooking, trayline, cleaning, etc) on an as needed basis.
Ensures the staff are responding promptly, safely, and efficiently to all service or customer requests.
Ensures that there is adequate staff and supplies to meet daily needs.
Coordinates dietary services and activities with other departments.
Ensures that dietary work areas, storage rooms, coolers, freezers, and utility closets are maintained in a clean and sanitary manner.
Assists with various human resources functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans, and performance counseling.
Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
Assist Food Service Director in the development of in-services to improve quality in designated areas.
