About The Position

Food Services Supervisor coordinates all kitchen activities to ensure the highest quality and smooth operation of the nutrition services department.

Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write, make simple calculations, and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Some on-the-job training in food preparation, in cookery and general kitchen management.
  • Experience – If you’ve had a job or experience in a position with similar goals and responsibilities, we’d love to connect with you.

Responsibilities

  • Orders all food to ensure proper menu.
  • Ensures proper preparation, portioning and serving of meals
  • Counsels residents and families in the area of food preferences
  • Evaluates and disciplines nutrition services personnel according to HCF policy
  • Prepares food according to recipe and ensures palatability
  • Maintains standards of sanitation and safety according to local, state and federal regulations
  • Operates all food service equipment safely
  • Attend required in-service education
