Food Services Room Services Associate PRN Days
About The Position
The Food Services Room Services Associate is a PRN role in Food & Nutrition Services, which provides meals to patients, visitors, and Baptist Health Louisville employees. The department has about 120 employees and operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and offers opportunities for growth and development within the department and hospital. Employees may take advantage of tuition reimbursement opportunities and may transfer to other hospital departments to pursue new career paths. The associate is responsible for patient food service on assigned units, including menu selections, tray assembly, delivery and pickup, special requests and needs, and between-meal food delivery. This PRN position requires at least one 12-hour shift per week, one full weekend per month, three holidays per year, and completion of two consecutive weeks of training consisting of six full shifts.
Requirements
- Must be able to read and write.
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
- Neat appearance and excellent hygiene.
- Excellent customer relation skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Must work as needed by the department, with a minimum of one 12-hour shift per week (6:15 a.m.–6:45 p.m.).
- Must work three holidays per year.
- Must work a minimum of one full weekend per month.
- Must commit to two consecutive weeks of training, consisting of three full shifts per week (six shifts total).
