About The Position

This is a Highly Sensitive Position and a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, along with a clear Vulnerable Sector Check is required. This employment opportunity is restricted to residents of Rankin Inlet only. Reporting to the Deputy Warden of Programs, the Food Service Manager (Manager) is responsible for the administration and direction of Food Services for Rankin Inlet Healing Facility. This position will ensure the nutritional and therapeutic requirements and needs of inmates are met through menu planning, the development if standardized, through the production sheets. The Manager is responsible to plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the daily operations. You will also be required to implement operational procedures and ensure all health and safety regulations are met. You will also be responsible for; administrative functions; unit hiring, supervising and coaching staff; setting staff work schedule; monitoring staff performance; and addressing and resolving labor relation issues. Maintaining and analyzing financial reports and budgets and ultimately being accountable for the overall financial success of this operation, is a requirement of this position.

Responsibilities

Administration and direction of Food Services for Rankin Inlet Healing Facility.
Ensure the nutritional and therapeutic requirements and needs of inmates are met through menu planning and the development of standardized production sheets.
Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the daily operations of the Food Services department.
Implement operational procedures and ensure all health and safety regulations are met.
Perform administrative functions including unit hiring, supervising and coaching staff.
Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance.
Address and resolve labor relation issues.
Maintain and analyze financial reports and budgets.
Be accountable for the overall financial success of the Food Services operation.
