About The Position
This role is described as 'hospitality with heart' within an aged care environment. The Food Services Assistant will help deliver an enjoyable dining experience, working closely with residents and the catering team. Key aspects include providing warm, professional meal service, creating a friendly atmosphere, assisting with light food preparation and setup, supporting events, adhering to food safety standards, and building connections with residents.
Requirements
- Food Handling & Hygiene Certificate (required)
- Availability for AM & PM shifts across a rotating 7-day roster (mandatory)
- Friendly attitude and strong communication skills
- Reliable, team-focused approach
- National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Proof of working rights in Australia
- Willingness to complete a medical assessment to confirm physical capability for the role
Nice To Haves
- Experience in cafés, restaurants, hotels, bars, or events
