UPA is building a casual pool of Food Services Assistants to support its residential aged-care homes across Holbrook during Christmas, New Year and beyond. These are direct UPA employment opportunities, not agency placements. Employees receive a UPA induction, ongoing workplace support, and the opportunity to work with familiar residents, teams and homes. Shifts depend on operational requirements and employee availability. There may be opportunities to be considered for ongoing or permanent employment when suitable vacancies become available. The role supports safe, smooth and enjoyable meal services for residents. Applicants should be reliable, friendly and comfortable working with older people, able to work safely and efficiently in a busy environment, and understand food safety, hygiene and teamwork. Current Australian working rights are required, and applicants must be available across a range of days and shift times. Hospitality, food-service, catering or commercial-kitchen experience is helpful; aged-care experience and a Food Safety or Food Handling Certificate are desirable but not essential. Appointment is subject to satisfactory completion of UPA’s required pre-employment checks, which may include a National Criminal History Check, pre-employment medical assessment, evidence of vaccinations required under UPA policy, and verification of Australian working rights and relevant qualifications.
