Our services include: - Residential Aged Care Home Care Services Retirement Villages The Opportunity We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant/Cook to join our team at Ascott Gardens Hostel in our Central West Region. A great opportunity exists, with availability required on weekends, for someone to perform cooking and kitchen duties. We are seeking people to provide a high standard of quality care to facility residents, by providing and maintaining a high standard of cooking and food service within the facility.

Requirements

  • Experienced in planning, preparation and cooking fresh meals
  • Experience in table service and clearing duties
  • Knowledge and experience in working to the compliance of the Food Safety Standards to HACCP level
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team player who is highly motivated
  • Availability to work various shifts across various days
  • Vaccinated in accordance with UPA’s Immunisation and Vaccination Policy. (including proof of the required doses of a TGA approved COVID-19 vaccine and annual influenza)
  • Undertake a National Criminal History Check
  • Pre-Employment Medical Assessment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in working in a fast-paced kitchen and or bulk food preparation
  • Experience in Aged Care desirable
  • Current First Aid Certificate desirable
