About The Position

The United Protestant Association of NSW Limited (“UPA”) is a values-driven non-profit care organisation serving local communities throughout NSW. We are looking for a Personal Carer to join our team at Ascott Gardens in our Orange Region. You will make a difference to our residents by facilitating positive health and well-being options for individuals, their families, and carers. We are also willing to invest in training and offer you all the support you might need in order to succeed in your role.

Requirements

• A Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support (or working towards)
• The ability to provide a wide range of person-centred care duties
• A desire and willingness to work with each resident to empower them to continue to do the things that they love
• Care skills that are driven by compassion
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Excellent communication skills
• Team player who is highly motivated
• Availability to work various shifts across various days
• Vaccinated in accordance with UPA’s Immunisation and Vaccination Policy. (including proof of the required doses of a TGA approved COVID-19 vaccine and annual influenza)
• Undertake a National Criminal History Check
• Pre-Employment Medical Assessment

• Experience in Aged Care desirable

Responsibilities

• Provision of a wide range of Person-Centred Care duties
• Assistance with medication (if you are assessed as medication competent) and wound dressing
• Assistance in daily living activities
• Working with each resident to continue to do the things they love
