About The Position

This position involves salad bar preparation, serving food to students, operating the cash register, and performing clean-up duties. The schedule will follow the school calendar, with various positions and hours available throughout the district. Positions are typically 4 to 6 hours per day.

Requirements

Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
Possesses strong organizational skills and computer skills.
Food service experience.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Assists with preparation of breakfast items.
Follows menus and recipes.
Assists in preparation of lunch items (vegetables, salads, entrees) as directed.
Assists Manager with district special functions or promotions.
Assists Manager with any food situations that may arise.
Helps serve and or operate computer POS during service time.
Assists in set up of hot food lines and salad bars, gathering utensils and other items needed for service.
Washes pots, pans, trays and silverware as assigned.
Cleans serving counters and steam tables.
Cleans equipment as needed.
Washes and sanitizes counters and tables with appropriate sanitizer.
General kitchen cleaning assignments and duties.
Reports any equipment needs and repairs to manager.
Records daily food usage on proper breakfast and/or lunch production records.
Helps out where needed and is flexible.
