About The Position

The Food Service Worker prepares, presents, and serves food as needed at Louisiana State University. The role involves food preparation, handling and storage, maintaining clean work areas and equipment, serving customers, and following food production, safety, sanitation, inventory, and cash-control standards. The schedule may vary based on operational needs, and additional details are provided during the interview. The position requires one year of customer service experience. Pay is $11.00 to $14.00 per hour. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until openings are filled. Because the work is performed in an educational facility, there may be periods—such as winter or summer breaks—when work is not required and any resulting temporary layoff may be unpaid.
