About The Position
The Food Service Worker will work in a local school kitchen or cafeteria for the Newport School District. The position involves preparing and serving meals while following applicable food safety, sanitation, USDA, state, and health department requirements. The Nutrition Group is a food service management company founded in 1975 that operates in seven states and serves clients meals throughout the year.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain clearances and pass criminal background checks.
- Positive and consistent work ethic.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the position.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements, which may include standing for long periods, sitting, pushing, pulling, lifting up to and in excess of 40 pounds, and walking.

Responsibilities
- Cook and prepare food.
