About The Position

The Food Service Worker will work as a substitute in the Western Wayne School District kitchen and cafeteria. Duties may include cooking and food preparation, portioning and serving meals, maintaining sanitation in accordance with USDA and state guidelines, complying with HACCP and health department regulations, and assisting with cost monitoring and inventory controls.

• Ability to obtain clearances and pass criminal background checks.
• Positive and consistent work ethic.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Willingness to learn and grow within the position.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements, which may include standing for long periods, sitting, pushing, pulling, lifting up to and in excess of 40 pounds, and walking.
