About The Position

Performs a variety of duties related to the school food service program, to maintain food service facilities in a clean and sanitary condition. This role involves setting up serving areas, serving food, managing inventory, handling payments, and ensuring proper storage of food items and supplies. The position requires adherence to safe and sanitary working practices and procedures, and the ability to communicate effectively with students and adults.

Requirements

• Must be able to stand for duration of work shift
• Must be able to lift 40lbs
• Must be able to follow written and oral instruction
• Communicate both verbally and written with students and adults effectively

Nice To Haves

• Must take “Safe Serve” course within first 6 month probation period.

Responsibilities

• Set up serving areas and steam tables
• Serve food to students and faculty
• Count milk and other food items as assigned
• Adhere to safe and sanitary working practices and procedures
• Collect money and make change
• Use a cash register effectively
• Assure food items and supplies are stored properly
• Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned by manager
