Requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to quality service
- Ability to read and write English on at a minimum 6th grade level
- Adheres to SPHP’s Code of Conduct
Nice To Haves
- Previous food service experience preferred but not required—training provided
- High School Diploma preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and meal service in accordance with dietary needs and standards
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of food service spaces
- Deliver friendly, attentive, and respectful service to all residents
- Support dishwashing, sanitation, and overall kitchen maintenance
- Follow food safety procedures and health regulations
- Collaborate with team members to create a pleasant dining experience
- Opening the kitchen; turning on hot line and cold line area
- Recording temperatures of ready-to-eat foods as well as other HACCP logs
- Properly breaking down service line and keeping it clean and sanitized
- Must maintain a clean and professional workspace and be willing to work independently
