Are you someone who enjoys helping others and wants a job where your work really matters? Join our team as a Food Service Worker in a secure juvenile corrections facility, where you’ll help prepare and serve meals that support health, structure, and a sense of normalcy for those in your care.

Requirements

• Speak and read English
• Be able to lift 40 pounds or more
• To stand, walk, talk and hear; use hands and fingers to feel, handle, or operate objects, tools and controls; and reach with hands and arms.
• The employee is frequently required to lift and move up to 40 lbs
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include being able to see in dim lit areas such as walk-ins and storage areas.

Nice To Haves

• Food Handling certification preferred but not required
• Some experience helpful

Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving meals that follow specific menus and guidelines
• Keeping the kitchen and serving areas clean, safe, and organized
• Helping with food deliveries and stocking supplies
• Following all safety and cleanliness rules
