About The Position
This role involves assisting in food service and preparation, operating kitchen equipment for tasks and special function food orders, portioning food before and during meal service, setting up assigned stations on the patient trayline, and assisting with mobile meals and the patient trayline as needed.
Requirements
- Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
- Six months experience in an institutional kitchen.
- Ability to observe warning labels on chemicals.
Responsibilities
- Assists in food service and preparation.
- Operates/utilizes kitchen equipment to complete tasks and special function food orders.
- Portions food ahead of and during meal service.
- Sets up assigned station on patient trayline.
- Assists mobile meals and patient trayline when needed.
