About The Position

The George Washington University Hospital (GW Hospital) continues to be a leader in providing the highest level of quality and compassionate healthcare for the D.C. Region. Our food service workers seek out best practice opportunities to enhance patient care by ensuring that all food/menu items are prepared and served to customers and patients within the facility. They will be responsible for maintaining sanitation standards for general work and serving areas throughout the department.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• 0-2 years of Function Specific Experience
• Applies skills appropriate for the position
• Adapts procedures, processes, tools equipment and techniques to accomplish the requirements of the position
• Ability to effectively communicate policies, and/or procedures in a manner easily understood by fellow employees

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that all food/menu items are prepared and served to customers and patients within the facility.
• Maintaining sanitation standards for general work and serving areas throughout the department.
