About The Position
This position is located at the Salt Lake Valley Youth Center and is responsible for preparing and serving meals to clients and staff. The role involves ensuring food safety standards are met, maintaining inventory, tracking receipts, and cleaning/disinfecting food service areas and equipment. The ideal candidate is motivated, enjoys cooking, and is committed to providing nutritious meals to youth.

Responsibilities
- Cooks, bakes, or serves regular and/or special meals to clients and/or staff.
- Ensures that food is maintained at appropriate temperatures.
- Prepares salads and garnishes and assists in basic food preparation or ordering.
- Distributes food using appropriate food handling and sanitation techniques.
- Practices of food safety and public health protection.
- Maintains inventory.
- Tracks receipts.
- Cleans, sterilizes and or disinfects areas and/or equipment.
- Uses cleaning agents, products and equipment.
