About The Position
Sentara Leigh Hospital Food Service is hiring a Food Service Worker (Utility Worker) in Norfolk, Virginia. Food Service Workers support the food services team by delivering nutritious meals and providing customer service to patients, staff, and visitors. The position involves preparing and assembling food according to dietary guidelines, safety requirements, and customer preferences; maintaining cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas; washing dishes; working as a cashier; meeting utility needs; and upholding food safety standards. Workers support different aspects of food delivery to patients. The role is full-time with rotating shifts covering both day and evening shifts, and requires working every other weekend. A Food Handler's Card is required in Norfolk. A sign-on bonus of up to $1,000 is available for qualified candidates.
