About The Position

Morrison Healthcare is hiring full-time and part-time Food Service Worker/Cashiers at Baptist South in Montgomery, Alabama. The role performs cashiering and general food service work while maintaining sanitation standards in food preparation, service, and dining facilities. Responsibilities include food preparation, handling and storing food safely, cleaning work areas and equipment, serving customers, processing sales and payments, managing assigned cash funds and receipts, and keeping service areas stocked and clean. The schedule varies by day, with shifts between 5:30 AM and 10:30 PM; rotating weekend availability is required. The pay range is $14.00 to $16.10 per hour. Requirements

Two years of food service and cashier experience.
Rotating weekend availability is required.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Prepare food by washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables; weigh and measure ingredients.
Carry food pans, kettles, and trays between work stations, stoves, and refrigerators in accordance with safety standards.
Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
Store food in designated areas using proper wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils; comply with sanitation and safety requirements.
Follow approved recipes and production standards to maintain food quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner and resolve customer complaints in a service-oriented manner.
Relay relevant information to the supervisor.
Perform sales transactions, accurately enter purchases into the cash register, make change, accept approved payments, and issue receipts.
Follow procedures for cash refunds and manage assigned change funds and cash receipts in accordance with overage and shortage standards.
Replenish condiments, beverages, and general supplies while maintaining service-area cleanliness.
Perform other duties as assigned.
