About The Position
The Food Service Worker 1 supports safe meal preparation and delivery at a veterans home and helps maintain clean, orderly food service spaces. The role helps ensure residents receive appropriate food items and care. Duties include preparing and plating food in proper portions; preparing beverages and bagged items; assembling and checking meal trays against special diets and computerized tickets; cleaning dishes, equipment, floors, and dining areas; recording food usage, temperatures, and meal counts; and assisting with food or table arrangements and decorations for special events.
