About The Position
The Food Service Worker 1 at the Ebensburg Center helps prepare and serve wholesome meals that support residents’ health and daily comfort. The role works with a culinary team and supports daily meal preparation, service, and sanitation to keep the kitchen operating safely and efficiently. Duties include preparing food items, handling kitchen equipment, and following cleaning procedures to maintain sanitation standards. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with work hours of 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM, rotating days off, and a 30-minute lunch. Telework is not available. A conditional offer requires a medical examination and satisfactory criminal history reports, including Pennsylvania State Police and FBI clearances, under the Older Adult Protective Services Act.

Responsibilities
- Prepare, portion, and pack menu items according to recipes, instructions, and required amounts.
- Call out tray tags and portion food accurately onto trays according to menu requirements.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely while preparing and serving food items.
- Move food, carts, and supplies between kitchens, storerooms, and service areas.
- Wash, sanitize, and clean dishware, equipment, and work areas according to procedures.
- Complete scheduled daily and monthly cleaning tasks to meet sanitation standards.
