About The Position

Grow Early Learning is seeking a highly motivated and organized Food Service Worker in Faison, NC. The role involves following established service plans, receiving and organizing food and supplies, managing inventory and records, and posting monthly menus in English, Spanish, and Creole as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• At least 2 years of experience in the food service industry.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food service.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree in culinary arts or ServSafe Food Manager’s Certificate and documented years of related experience in quantity cooking.
• At least 1 year of verifiable experience in food service or cooking.
• Prior experience with quantity cooking.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow established service plans outlined in the Nutrition and service area manuals.
• Work with the supervisor to receive and unpack food and supplies, and date them according to procedures.
• Conduct weekly inventory, manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain accurate records of food service activities.
• Post monthly menus in English, Spanish, and Creole as needed in the kitchen and on the Parent’s Bulletin Board.
• Document substitutions as needed and obtain the Center Director’s approval before meal service.
