FOOD SERVICE UTILITY (FULL TIME)
About The Position
The Food Service Utility maintains kitchen work areas and keeps equipment and utensils clean and orderly. The position is based at Quincy University in Quincy, Illinois. It is a full-time role with days and hours that may vary; schedule details are provided during the interview. Pay is $15.50 to $16.00 per hour. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled. Because work is performed in an educational facility, there may be periods during winter or summer breaks when work is not required and the resulting layoff may be unpaid. Depending on business needs, year-round work may be required, potentially at a different location during break periods. Responsibilities
- Sweep and mop floors in accordance with safety and sanitation standards.
- Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces.
- Remove trash and place it in designated containers; steam-clean or hose out garbage cans.
- Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
- Assist with banquet table and front-of-house setup.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and delivering supplies and products.
- Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment as needed.
- Comply with sanitation and safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
